Merry Merry Christmas! I hope you had an absolutely amazing and joyful day. This Christmas was definitely a great one. For the first time since moving to Connecticut, my family hosted Christmas at our house and it was such a success. My mom did a beautiful job decorating, the food was great, and I have to say it is VERY convenient being at your home for Christmas where your PJs are just a couple steps away!
Today I asked some of my family members to think of some Christmas related questions that I can answer on the blog, thinking it will be a nice memory to look back on next year. So here we go..!
Favorite Christmas food?
My family makes an American-Italian pasta dish called Manicotti. Although this year it was only on the Christmas Eve menu, we usually hand make and stuff the pasta for Christmas Day too.
Favorite Christmas cookie?
Peanut butter blossoms are definitely a chart topper, but its followed closely by a simple sugar cookie.
Favorite Christmas movie?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Elf! How could you not? It just never gets old.
Favorite Christmas song?
Britney Spears’ My Only Wish (This Year) is a guilty pleasure for sure.
Favorite moment of Christmas 2016?
This Christmas my brother in 8th grade bought my mom a kayak with the money he earned over the summer doing yard work for my neighbors (his first little job). Seeing my brother find excitement in giving for Christmas rather than only getting really made me smile so big. 😀
What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
Every year my parents hide a glass pickle ornament on our tree and whoever finds it in the morning gets to open the first gift. Although it used to be a lot more competitive when we were little – opening the first gift was a must! – it is still a fun game that we’ve enjoyed ever since I was in grade school.
Whose naughty, whose nice? You pick…. haha!
And that wraps up my Christmas post! For one last time, Merry Christmas, everyone!
